DAWSON HIGHWAY CALLIOPE RANGE DEVIATION QLD

Contractor: CMC Group

Duration: February 2010 - January 2012

The Dawson Highway connects the industrial centre of Gladstone to the Leichhardt Highway and provides a direct link to southern capital cities. CMC was awarded the contract to construct a new 4.5 kilometre, four lane road through the Calliope Range near Biloela, approximately 60 kilometres south-west of Gladstone.The scope of work largely included bulk earthworks, pavement construction, challenging tie-ins that were over one kilometre and grade separated by up to 2.5 metres under live traffic, Super-T girder bridge with insitu post tensioned central headstock, major retaining walls, and concrete barriers.

SARINA RANGE RECONSTRUCTION QLD

Contractor: Aurizon

Duration: 21 months, completed in December 2018

More than half of the major slips on Marlborough-Sarina Road, along Sarina Range, are now restored. Marlborough-Sarina Road, (Sarina Range), has reached completion after 21 months of restoration works to repair damage as a result of the rainfall associated with Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie in March 2017.

The final works associated with the roadway restoration were completed including drainage, completion of bitumen and asphalt sealing and rehabilitation works, installation of guard rails, line marking and revegetation.

TOOWOOMBA SECOND RANGE CROSSING

Contractor: Nexus Delivery

Duration: August  2017 – October 2019

The Toowoomba Bypass, previously known as the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing, reaches 41km from the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa in the east to the Gore Highway at Athol in the west, via Charlton.

The Toowoomba Bypass plays a key role in accelerating the growth of regional Australia. Toowoomba is a key strategic link in the National Land Transport Network with almost half of all exports from the Port of Brisbane originating from regions accessed via the existing Warrego Highway Toowoomba Range section.
