In becoming Australia’s largest concrete pumping operation, Meales has developed a quite unique ‘decentralised’ business model.  This approach provides the obvious benefit of a series of local businesses in each area represented which can then draw upon the extensive expertise and/or equipment available within the Meales Group should it be beneficial to the customer.

At a local or national level, Meales has the capability to service jobs of almost any size, ranging from house slabs, block-fill and driveways to commercial/industrial construction, infrastructure projects (please refer to this website’s project heading) and high-rise construction. At a local or national level, Meales has the capability to service jobs of almost any size, ranging from house slabs, block-fill and driveways to commercial/industrial construction, infrastructure projects (please refer to this website’s project heading) and high-rise construction. We provide concrete pumping workers and equipment to various Queensland locations such as Brisbane, Gold Coast, Gladstone, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Townsville and many more.

History

Meales Concrete Pumping was first established on the Sunshine Coast in 1980, introducing the first ever concrete pump to the Coast. Our founder, Chris Lethbridge soon saw the potential for growth in this developing area, with demand for boom pumps rapidly increasing due to their versatility and ability to service a wide range of projects.
Meales has grown steadily over the past decade due primarily, we believe, to our unrelenting focus on customer service and our desire to continue to offer more options for our customers.
Our initial growth was centred on key areas north along the Queensland Coast and the mining sector in Central Queensland.
More recently (4th Quarter 2008) we have expanded into the Brisbane/Gold Coast/Ipswich areas through the acquisition of several established local businesses which will continue to retain their ‘localness’.  Those companies which now form part of the Meales Group are as follows:
Improved Concrete Pumping (ICP)
Specialised Concrete Pumping (SCP)
Ipswich Concrete Pumping  & KCP Concrete
.
From these humble days of one machine based in Noosa, Meales now services the East Coast of Queensland from the Gold Coast north to Townsville with a fleet of 80 late model machines ranging in size from Trailer pumps to 48 metre booms, offering by far the largest range of pumps in Australia.
The extent and diversity of our fleet allows us to now provide a very competitive service by customising each concrete pumping job to best serve the individual needs of our customers.
Our capability and expertise also extends to mine, dam, road, rail, wharf and other civil and infrastructure projects.

We encourage customers who wish to gain a greater appreciation of the full extent of our experience and capability to select the ‘Projects’, ‘Team’ and ‘Fleet’ links from our home page.
