In 2010 Specialised Concrete Pumping (SCP) was awarded the concrete pumping package for the $890 million Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) currently under construction by Abi Group.

With construction and concrete commenced in August 2010 the 4 levels of underground carpark  is nearing completion with 12 levels of state of the art hospital soon to commence.

Like many large scale projects in built up areas this site was presented with many access problems and therefore required careful planning between the contractor and ourselves to be able to successfully execute the concrete pumping program on time and on budget.

Limited space for so many concrete trucks resulted in a concrete pumping lay down area being established across the other side of Stanley St, 150m away from the site.

With the use of 2 high pressure trailer pumps (Putzmeister 2110 and Schwing 4000) concrete is conveyed underground via 4 static lines to service six placing booms (Putzmeister MX36 and Schwing KVM 39m, 2 x KVM 32m and 2 x DVM 32m SPB’s).

Concrete on this project is expected to be completed by Late 2012.    

Located on Roma St, Brisbane the new supreme court will boast to be the most expensive courthouse in Australia with a project value in excess of $500 million
Specialised Concrete Pumping commenced pumping in April 2009, with expected completion on September 2011.
There is approximately 40,000m3 to be pumped
The project will begin with a Schwing DVMK50 mounted at Basement 3 on Leibherr towers.
2 x KVM28's were installed on podium to complete the podium pours. with a Schwing 4000 set on the street.
3 x Schwing KVM32/28 metre placing booms were mounted on 3 separate jump systems to pour all typical levels though complications with the Jump design forced the dismantle of the KVM32's and saw the DVMK50 moved to the centre of the project standing on 13 towers and climbed 4 Times.
the majority of the site will be pumped by 2 Electric pumps with a motor capacity of 160kw.

Austrlands controversial project will be developed on Brisbane's historic Yungaba House site, which was the first property to be put on the state's heritage register in 1992. The State government sold the site to Australand.

The project will include 68 units in the first stage, and ten luxury homes in the second stage, which will be built into the historic riverfront home.

Further stages will sell an approximate 90 more apartments, bringing the total to 167 dwellings
